Testimonials
“Miranda is obviously very knowledgeable about horses and horsemanship…but the best part is the way she can communicate this to her students, whether they are young, old, ‘newbies’, experienced, gifted or disabled. She is always professional, positive, fun, and safe. Miranda has an excellent knowledge base of disabilities and needed accommodations. However, she is quick to ask questions and is genuinely interested in learning all she can from the professionals she works with- social workers, guidance counselors, physical therapists, teachers, aides, etc.”

“I have been a volunteer for Miranda’s therapeutic riding program for troubled teens. I always knew Miranda had a special talent for teaching but watching her with these kids was a special treat for me. Most of the children arrived very quiet with serious expressions on their faces. Also, they had very little or no experience with horses. During the four day program I witnessed a transformation in every child that participated in this program. It was truly amazing to watch. Miranda and her incredible horses brought out the joy and confidence hidden in these kids. By the end of the four days each child was smiling and having conversations among each other and the staff.
Being at Miranda’s barn over the past four years on a weekly basis has given me the opportunity to witness a woman who has an incredible gift to share…Lucky are those who have the chance to participate in her programs.”

“It has been amazing to see Miranda successfully and therapeutically work with all the children that I have brought to her program with various mental health issues. Whether it is in a group or individual session, Miranda is able to individualize the lesson to meet each childs’ emotional needs. During the lessons, she is able to connect with each student in a way that is safe, consistent, supportive, and fun. It is evident the positive change that occurs in the children as they leave the barn feeling proud of themselves and their accomplishments. The kids are thrilled!”

We have two horse crazy girls in our house ages 6 and 12. Miranda has always been their primary trainer. We are not always in Vermont and have had to try a number of different trainers at various barns. Miranda is by far the most incredible instructor we have found. She is a brilliant and gifted teacher. She has a clear, concise and very effective pedagogy for teaching young children every aspect of good horsemanship.
