Therapeutic Programs
Using the same basic two-hour format as the educational sessions, therapeutic riding programs are available for schools, social service agencies, and groups of individuals. Depending on the specific needs of the students, emphasis is placed on safety, developing communication skills, and appropriate behavior in a group. Active participation of caregivers/therapists is required. Additional training and preparation for their role generally requires at least one separate session, which is included in the cost of the program.
